These terms are the agreement between you and Maleem when you use Maleem to build and run an online store. By creating an account or using Maleem, you agree to them. If you buy from a store on Maleem, the section If you buy from a store is the part that applies to you.

How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

The short version

  • Your store, products and content stay yours. You are responsible for what you sell and for delivering it.
  • Maleem is the software. The sale is between you and your buyer, and couriers collect and send the cash under their own terms.
  • Plans are monthly, in Egyptian pounds, with no commission on your orders. You can cancel at any time.
  • Don't sell anything illegal, misuse your buyers' data, or send spam through Maleem.

1. Your account

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract to open a seller account. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.

You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your sign-in safe and tell us at hello@maleem.store if you think someone else has used it.

2. What Maleem does

Maleem gives you software to build a store, take orders with cash on delivery, confirm them with buyers on WhatsApp, book deliveries with a courier such as Bosta, and see how your store is doing.

We keep improving Maleem, so features can change. If we remove something important to a paid plan, we will tell you first.

3. Your store and your content

You own your store's content: products, photos, text, prices and anything else you add. You give Maleem permission to host, store, copy, adapt and display it only so we can run your store and the features you use, including showing it to buyers.

You are responsible for your content and your products: that descriptions and prices are accurate, that you have the rights to the photos and names you use, and that what you sell is legal.

Templates, including their designs and sample photos, are for use in stores on Maleem. You can change them as much as you like inside Maleem, but not reuse them elsewhere.

4. What you can't do

You agree not to use Maleem to:

  • sell anything illegal in Egypt, counterfeit or stolen goods, weapons, drugs or medicines that need a prescription;
  • mislead buyers about products, prices, delivery or returns;
  • infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • send spam, or use buyers' phone numbers for anything other than serving them;
  • break into, overload or copy Maleem, or get around its limits;
  • take part in fraud or harass anyone.

If you do, we can remove content, pause your store or close your account, as described in Ending below.

5. Orders, cash on delivery and couriers

The sale is between you and your buyer.Maleem is not a party to it. You are responsible for fulfilling orders, for returns and exchanges, and for following Egypt's consumer protection law.

Couriers deliver and collect the cash.When you ship with a courier through Maleem, that courier's own terms and fees apply, and the courier sends you the cash it collects under them. Maleem does not hold your buyers' money. The Wallet shows what couriers report; if a number looks wrong, the courier's records decide.

Maleem is not responsible for a courier's delays, losses or damage, or for buyers who refuse an order at the door, although our confirmation and verification tools are there to reduce them.

6. Your buyers' data

You are responsible for your customers' personal data under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law. Use it only to serve those customers, keep it safe, and respect their requests to see or delete it.

Order messages on WhatsApp are sent by Maleem, under the Maleem name, on your store's behalf, and name your store.

7. AI features

Maleem uses AI to build stores, write product text and make product photos. AI can get things wrong. Check what it produces before you publish; once published, it is your content and your responsibility. Don't ask it for content that breaks these terms.

8. Plans and payment

Maleem has a free plan and paid monthly plans, shown on the pricing page. Prices are in Egyptian pounds. We charge no commission on your orders.

  • Paid plans renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the month you paid for, and we don't refund part months.
  • If we change a plan's price, we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price.
  • If a payment fails, we may move your store to the free plan until it is paid.

9. Other services

Maleem connects to services run by others, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Shopify and Bosta. Their terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them. If one changes or stops working, the features that depend on it may change too.

10. Ending

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@maleem.store. Before you do, export anything you want to keep.

We can pause or close a store that breaks these terms or the law, puts buyers at risk, or hasn't paid for its plan. Where we reasonably can, we warn you first and give you time to fix it.

11. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Maleem running and correct, but we provide it “as is” and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, Maleem is not liable for lost profits, lost sales or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

If someone makes a claim against Maleem because of your products, your content or how you run your store, you agree to cover the cost of it.

12. If you buy from a store

When you order from a store on Maleem, you are buying from that store, not from Maleem. The store is responsible for the products, delivery, returns and refunds, under its own policies and Egypt's consumer protection law.

Maleem runs the checkout, confirms your phone number, sends you messages about your order on WhatsApp and passes your order to the courier. You pay the courier in cash when the order arrives. If something goes wrong with an order, contact the store first; if that doesn't help, email hello@maleem.store.

13. Changes and the law

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we tell sellers by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using Maleem after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo decide any dispute about them.
